The apartment is located through black iron gates between 40 & 42 Monkgate, York, YO31 7PF, directly opposite York Medical Group / NHS Monkgate Centre.
Arriving
To access the property please drive up to the gate between number 40 & 42 Monkgate. You will need the gate code you have been emailed to gain access. The codes will be sent to you 7 days prior to your stay, via email
Apartment 2 (Monks Retreat) is located on the left hand side on the ground floor
There is a key safe located to the right of the front door. Please use the code you were emailed to open this key safe. Please do not leave the code visible.
Car Parking
The parking space for 2 George Hudson Court is located nearby at Monkgate Cloisters.
You can unload your car by parking in the “no parking” bay for a maximum of 10 minutes
This space is for unloading only, please do not leave your car here as it is a turning space for the entire car park.
Once you have unloaded your vehicle please use the below information to access your parking space in Monkgate Cloisters.
On the coffee table you will find:
BLACK FOB: This opens the RIGHT HAND SIDE gate to Monkgate Cloisters car park, please press it against the pad to the right of the gate to open it. Please ensure this is returned to the apartment on departure.
PERMIT: (with the number 4 written on it) please display on your dashboard. You can park in any available space.

Most people tend to not move their vehicle once parked but please feel free to come and go as you please, using the area outside the apartment to unload/load 🙂
